UPDATE: language skills have marginally increased.

My Japanese lessons don't start until next week, due to lack of appropriate texts, but I managed to further my knowledge of Japanese (minimally) last night, when Moeko and I and our families went out for sushi at Musashino. While our parents talked about...Japan, Moeko decided to start my Japanese lessons then. I learned all the endings for names (that you use when talking to different people, ex. a really famous person, your teacher and classmates, girl friends and guy friends.), a super-emphatic way to say thank you, how to conjugate regular verbs in preterite, "I am tired" and "I am on fire," and the alphabet and consanants in their proper form. (There was more, but I won't put it on my list because I forgot it.) I was really happy when Moeko told me that I got the words really fast and my pronounciation was really good, but she also told me how much of Japanese is just memorization...ah, well...

I have told some of my friends about my premature senior-itis, especially in Spanish, because I don't think that I will be taking it after I come back. However, I am going to take the SAT Subject Test in Spanish...it's okay, though; my lack of motivation in some areas won't have much effect [I think]

: )

PS Moeko, your Bruch Concerto in Chapel was awesome! As if you don't know that already!
